Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ | General

AJ Media reigns from the north side of the great city of Cleveland, Tennessee.

AJ Media primarily operates in Cleveland, Tennessee and Chattanooga but due to the rural area we live in, I often find myself in Athens, Dayton, Dalton Georgia, Ringgold Georgia and everywhere in between. AJ does not shy away from longer trips if its what it takes to complete the job.

AJ Media advertises an open and close time of Monday thru Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm. However, with proper planning and scheduling, shoots may be scheduled outside of the hours of operation and includes Sunday when the opportunity requires it.

Yes, deposits are required. Deposits in this industry are standard protocol. They live to validate a commitment to service from both the photographer and the client. When booking AJ, expect to pay 50% of the total cost up front unless you prefer to pay the entire balance at booking.

AJ Media understands that things change in a moments notice. You’re welcome to reschedule or cancel at anytime, we just ask that you act swiftly and express consideration for our schedule by notifying us in advance as much as possible.

AJ Media prefers to use Google Drive for long-term hosting and ease of access for his clients, however, we will work with your preferred method. With videos specifically, we are able to host them on YouTube or Vimeo at your request by providing a private link to the project.

FAQ | Photography

This is a challenging question to answer as there can be so many variables pertinent to photoshoots but if AJ had to place an average on photoshoots across the board, he thinks 1-2 hours is fairly reasonable unless it’s an event that is taking place.

Delivery time can be inquired about at the time of scheduling. The target delivery time is 48 hours, but in many cases 24 hours may be completely feasable.

FAQ | Video Production

It’s 2025 and we all have a phone in our pockets. These clever little devices aren’t strictly used for business or leisure, they are used for everything. AJ Media is happy to help you create social media content and ads to enable you to better promote your business to potential clients and customers.

There is a common saying that floats around in the world of video production and it is this, “It doesn’t take three minutes to make a three minute video.” While that may sound like a cheap excuse to raise your bill, AJ Media assures you it’s not. We like you reference the phrase because it creates a reality around the magnitude of thought and planning that goes into producing videos. AJ Media would challenge you to think about the time it takes to load equipment, setup, film, teardown and do it all over again if we need to move from location to location to produce as we navigate the intricacies of you project. Some productions are much simpler than others, and likewise, some are much more complex.

With that being said, AJ Media invites you to have a free conversation by contacting us, which will enable us to effectively estimate the costs of your project.

AJ Media entertains all opportunities to film with you or your business–but our dream clients are business owners, business professionals as well as real estate agents and investors. We won’t shy away from exploring your project details with you, no matter your goal–we want to hear it.

Pre-planning is the foundational phase of video production where all the creative, technical, and logistical details are mapped out before the cameras start rolling. This stage includes concept development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, location scouting, casting, scheduling, and budgeting.

By carefully planning every element in advance, a production team ensures a smoother filming process, avoids costly delays, and delivers a video that meets its objectives—whether it’s for marketing, branding, education, or entertainment.

Pre-production is critical for aligning the vision between the client and the production team, defining clear goals, and laying the groundwork for a successful shoot and edit.
